Tely Labs brings standards-based HD videoconferencing to every conference room

USA: Tely Labs - maker of the award-winning telyHD video calling system, has launched Enterprise Edition, featuring built-in support for the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) standard for videoconferencing interoperability as well as Blue Jeans Network support.

Tely Labs’ new offering enhances enterprises’ investment in legacy videoconferencing systems by providing a cost-effective solution for secondary conference rooms and remote locations that can now seamlessly interoperate with boardroom videoconferencing equipment.

Tely Labs Enterprise Edition is the industry’s first sub-$1,000 video calling solution to provide seamless interoperability with high-end videoconferencing solutions such as Polycom, Cisco, Lifesize and others at High Definition 720p quality.  Enterprise Edition is sold as a software upgrade to Tely Labs’ flagship telyHD and telyHD Business Edition video calling appliances, adding SIP and Blue Jeans Network support to these Skype certified products.

“With Enterprise Edition, Tely Labs is making high performance, standards-based video conferencing more accessible to more organizations,” reports Ira M. Weinstein, senior analyst and partner at Wainhouse Research. “For less than $1,000 per system, enterprises can deploy video conferencing in standard meeting rooms cost effectively, making face-to-face virtual communications available to more of their user base.”

“Video communications and collaboration are a primary requirement in industries such as healthcare, education and government but traditional high-end offerings cannot scale down to meet this widespread need,” said Sreekanth Ravi, president and CEO of Tely Labs. “Our new Enterprise Edition provides outstanding value and ease of operation, and our reseller partners are building ongoing value-added services around Tely Labs Enterprise Edition for compelling offerings for their end customers.”
