Interlink Electronics and Introtek intro medical technology for improving patient safety

USA: Interlink Electronics Inc. announced the integration of its FSR 402 sensor in Introtek’s PRO Occlusion Detector, a passive non-invasive, free-entry sensor designed for medical, laboratory, pharmaceutical and packaging applications.

Interlink Electronics’ FSR 402 is now built into Introtek’s PRO Occlusion Detector, a non-invasive, free-entry sensor designed to detect occlusion in soft tubing and produce corresponding output signal for medical devices, clinical laboratories, pharmaceutical manufacturing and automated packaging applications.

The PRO Detector was the result of a steadily growing interest in the global community of medical device manufacturers and offers a unique solution to accurately monitor tubing occlusion.

FSR 402 is part of Interlink Electronics FSR 400 series, the most versatile force sensor technology on the market. FSRs are robust polymer thick film (PTF) two-wire devices that exhibit a decrease in resistance with increase in the force applied to the surface of the sensor.

This force is optimized for use in human touch control of electronic devices in diverse applications such as medical systems, electronics, automotive, industrial control and robotics. FSR 400 sensors are cost effective, ultra thin, robust, simple and easy to integrate into a wide range of user interface and data capture solutions.
