CHARLESTON, USA: Zubie, a leading startup in the emerging connected car space, has begun its international expansion via a partnership with Telefónica, one of the largest telecommunication companies in the world.
Beginning in October, Zubie's proprietary technology will be branded as O2 Car Connection in Germany. Through this union, Zubie leads the charge as the one of the first U.S. connected car companies to partner with a European wireless company; further demonstrating the expanding market opportunity of the connected car.
"We are excited to be launching Zubie in Germany with O2 and aligning with the one of the world's leading wireless companies, Telefónica," said Zubie CEO, Tim Kelly. "We are witnessing continued momentum, both abroad and in the US. This international partnership demonstrates how Zubie's connected car data and mobile app solutions can benefit multiple industry segments especially the consumers as the end users."
Telefónica recently announced its German connected car offering at the prestigious technology conference, the CarIT Congress on September 30 in Germany. O2 Car Connection will use Zubie's technology and mobile services and will be available in Germany starting in October. The Zubie service provides users in Germany a full suite of connected car benefits to help make driving safer, easier and less expensive.
