UNIONDALE, USA: Yellowbook, a national leader in local search, today announced the launch of a new version of its US Yellow Pages application that is designed for use on Android Tablets. Yellowbook's US Yellow Pages application has already registered millions of downloads on the Google Android smartphone platform.
The new Android Tablet app features map-based business listing results and users can quickly find a business by searching the business name or category or by browsing popular categories, their search history or nearby businesses.
The map-based interaction is the best way for users to quickly assess whether a particular business choice makes sense for them. A user might need to find a florist on the way to a restaurant, or an auto repair shop close by the office, or a dry cleaner near the gym where the kids are dropped off for basketball practice. The key decision-making factors include ease, convenience and proximity to previously scheduled events.
Yellowbook is planning future releases that will add even more functionality to the app. The US Yellow Pages App by Yellowbook can be found in the Android Market as well as in the Amazon.com Appstore for Android.
