ESI Collaboration Studio opens at the University of Oregon’s Business Research Institute

PORTLAND, USA: Electro Scientific Industries Inc., a leading supplier of innovative laser-based manufacturing solutions for the microtechnology industry, announced its sponsorship of the ESI Collaboration Studio at the University of Oregon’s Lundquist College of Business.

The state-of-the-art ESI Collaboration Studio, gifted by ESI in honor of the company’s co-founder Douglas C. Strain, is part of UO’s new Business Research Institute (BRI). The studio is uniquely designed for real-time collaboration, customer engagements, business research and focus group studies.

The ESI Collaboration Studio officially opens
Located in the midst of UO’s academic environment, The ESI Collaboration studio features video conferencing and teleconferencing systems, a SMARTBoard interactive whiteboard, one-way mirror for viewing in adjacent control room, LCD televisions, and complete PC/internet connectivity for conducting qualitative research, videoconferencing and seminars.

The official opening, tour and reception of the new BRI and the ESI Collaboration Studio took place on June 9.
