RICHMOND, CANADA: Point Grey, a global leader in the design and manufacturing of innovative, high-performance digital cameras, today announced the addition of a new 9.1 MP CCD model to its Grasshopper®3 GigE Vision PoE camera line.
The Grasshopper3 GS3-PGE-91S6 models are based on color and monochrome versions of the 1” Sony ICX814 global shutter CCD sensor, which features 3.69 micron pixels and 3376 x 2704 pixel resolution. The ICX814 device utilizes Sony’s EXview HAD CCD II pixel architecture, improving quantum efficiency and near infrared response.
With its high resolution CCD image quality, high dynamic range, and GigE interface, the Grasshopper3 is well suited for a wide variety of demanding applications including flat panel inspection, 3D measurement, ophthalmology, life sciences, and intelligent traffic systems.
