Dell intros Inspiron 14R and 15R laptops

INDIA: Dell announced new additions to the Inspiron laptop portfolio – 14R and 15R targeted at Gen Y consumers.

Packed with new looks and style, these new products are a significant improvement over previous generations of Inspirons as they are available in a thinner form-factor and optimized for delivering better performance with an improved battery life.

Besides improved battery life in a smaller and lighter package, the new devices are available with i3, i5 and i7 processor options to suit the diverse requirements of users – be it multi-tasking at work or having fun with multimedia.

The new products feature improved battery life achieved by combining battery with Intel’s ultra-low voltage processors which require only 17 watts to run. This is less than half the power requirements of the processors used in last year’s Inspiron laptops and allows for users to do more with their laptops without worrying about the battery life.

The new Inspirons are sleeker, lighter, more powerful and comes with an enhanced battery life for longer computing experience. Compared to previous generation models, these new Inspirons are under 2.54 cms (1-inch) thin, which is 17 percent thinner and 15 percent lighter than previous models meaning easy portability.
