BANGALORE, INDIA: Apple iOS device owners can now copy videos and photos stored on their PCs and Macs directly to their iPad or iPhone – and vice versa – over the internet without having to synch devices.
Available as part of a new update to LogMeIn Ignition, the top-grossing third-party iPad app of 2010 from LogMeIn Inc., the new features give users to all their photos and videos on their iPads with just a few clicks, even if those photos and videos reside on a computer thousands of miles away.
The update extends LogMeIn Ignition’s unique file management capabilities, introduced in March 2011 – the ability to move, copy and save files from remote PCs and Macs to the iPad. With the update users can now transfer video and photo files between their iPad and iPhone’s photo libraries and their PC or Mac.
“iPad and iPhone users can now easily carry their photos and videos with them wherever they go, with the option of connecting to their entire collection, regardless of location,” said Andrew Burton, LogMeIn’s vice president, Access & Management. “Whether it’s grabbing photos of the trip to Caribbean that never made it on to Facebook or that home video of the kids’ at the pool this summer, the new update to LogMeIn Ignition means never having to leave a video or photo behind. And for all of us that are on the go this summer, it offers a simple way to use an iPad to get a little freedom from the office still having fun – a productivity app with an entertainment bonus.”
The latest update introduces the ability to:
* Wirelessly transfer photos and videos to and from the iPad’s, iPhone’s, and iPod touch’s native Photos app and remote PCs and Macs.
* Create new albums and folders on iOS device.
* Quickly email photos, videos, and other files from the iPad or iPhone to any PC or Mac.
LogMeIn Ignition is the only productivity app to combine the ability to remotely view, access and control a PC or Mac from the iPad or iPhone, with the ability to wirelessly move, copy and save photos, videos, documents, presentations, spreadsheets and other files between computers and iOS devices. It is a featured member of Apple’s App Store Essentials Hall of Fame.
The LogMeIn Ignition for iPad and iPhone app can be downloaded from Apple’s App Store for a one-time charge of $29.99, and the update is available for free to existing Ignition owners.
