BANGALORE, INDIA: Royal Philips Electronics is launching the third edition of Connectivity Plugfest with a focus on HDMI & HDMI CEC, USB, Wi-fi, DLNA/UPnP and Bluetooth. ‘Philips Connectivity Plugfest 03’ to be held at Philips Innovation Campus, Bangalore, India, between 26 - 28 July, 2011.
Philips partners with Tektronix Inc., one of the leading companies in test and measurement instrumentation, as its technology support partner for the event.
The three-day technology carnival invites companies, associations and professionals from Consumer Electronics, Semiconductor, PC, Test and Measurement, Peripheral and Accessory domains to test the Interoperability of their product with the products developed by other companies.
It is an inimitable occasion for organizations to authenticate new design platforms and products with other participants and to symbolize technical excellence. They can also test their devices with products used as reference devices at Philips Interoperability & Certification Centre and can book a slot with well-known test tool and equipment manufacturers taking part in the event.
According to Nataraj Kumar, Director, Consumer Lifestyle, Philips Innovation Campus, Bangalore: ‘Last year we had 31 companies who showcased 90 devices focusing on connectivity technologies in contrast with the first Plugfest which attracted 15 companies. So, the excitement is surely catching up and we are expecting more prolific participation this time.”
“Enabling innovations, Tektronix has been part of the Connectivity PlugFest three times in a row and find it immensely satisfying to support the knowledge transfer platform. This tech fest is one of those rare junctures where you meet human brains and technology that is equally intellectual,” said David Carew Jones, Pacific marketing director at Tektronix.
Participants can register and test their products at the "Tek Experience Zone" which will be set up at the event and also interact with our experts, he added.
