Tektronix intros world’s smallest full-featured waveform monitor and rasterizer for content creation, post production, and broadcast

BANGALORE, INDIA: Tektronix Inc. has unveiled the compact WFM5200 waveform monitor and WVR5200 rasterizer to meet the needs of video content production, post production, and broadcast for affordable 3G-SDI monitoring capability that can be tailored to specific applications.

The world’s smallest full-featured waveform rasterizer and waveform monitor that can monitor up to four 3G-SDI signals simultaneously, the WFM/WVR5200 products are well suited for use in OB vans, studio control rooms, and post production houses doing editing, special effects and color correction.

With software that can be tailored to specific applications, the new instruments meet the growing trend toward “fit for purpose” products that can easily be integrated into an existing system architecture.

“We often hear from production houses and broadcasters that they want Tektronix quality, 3G-SDI Performance and to be able to choose and pay for only the features they need,” said Eben Jenkins, general manager, Video Product Line, Tektronix. “To meet this need, we’re unbundling the performance of our advanced waveform monitors and rasterizers and offering a wide range of software options that can be tailored to the user’s application.”
