LAFOX, USA: Richardson RFPD Inc. has entered into a global business relationship to stock, sell, and support the design-in of Hall Effect Current Sensors from Tamura Corp. The agreement covers Tamura’s entire line of open-loop and closed-loop Hall Effect current sensors (sometimes referred to as “current transducers”).
“Richardson RFPD’s design-in support capabilities in our target markets will be a tremendous asset in driving improved recognition and increased sales of the Tamura brand,” said James Usack, Tamura's global sales & applications manager for Current Sensor Products. “The quality of our products is unsurpassed and with an alliance partner like Richardson RFPD, with their highly technical sales force focused on key OEM opportunities, we anticipate a greatly enhanced worldwide presence for our current sensors.”
Kevin Connor, vice president of the Energy, Power & Interconnect Group of Richardson RFPD, said: “Our focus is serving the high-power needs of our global customer base in various OEM markets, such as wind and solar energy, UPS, automation, traction, automotive and power conditioning. Our approach is to provide full front-end design support with a synergistic offering of power components: IGBTs, diodes, integrated power modules, capacitors, resistors and thermal management products.”
“Adding Tamura’s current sensors to our line card increases the value we provide to our customers, reducing their sourcing time for yet another critical component,” added Connor. “Tamura's ability to provide quality products at competitive pricing and with reduced lead times will definitely be welcomed by our power component customers.”
