LG retains leadership position in monitor sales with 30 percent market share

INDIA: LG Electronics has clocked 30.2 percent market share in the standalone monitor market during the first quarter of 2013, thereby retaining its leadership position.

LG has been ranked as the no.1 monitor brand in India followed by Acer and Samsung, according to the CMR Report Q1’ 2013 (CMR’s India City-wise Monthly PC Monitor Market Review, May 2013 release). LG is now leading the Indian display industry after consolidating its position in the market for the second consecutive year.

LG has scored high in channel partner’s scheme in terms of overall product reliability, user-friendliness and diversity of product range. Channel partners endorse the overall marketing support, advertising strategies, point of sales material, manpower at disposal and flexibility in conducting localized promotions.

Every quarter, LG comes out with innovative channel engagement programs. LG has also created a unique service for its consumers to resolve all issues within 72 hours. Last year, LG also launched www.lgchannels.com  which is a window between LG and channel partners, and more than 2900 partners are active on the website and regularly interact with LG on various issues.

For 2013, LG has planned a broad line-up of Monitor portfolio under the IT banner. LG plans to launch its Ultra Wide 21:9 monitor, which offers exceptional picture quality with AH-IPS panel, a resolution of 2560 x 1080 and an aspect ratio of 21:9.

LG also plans to launch its Touch Monitor series with an elegant display and cutting edge display, and IPS Monitors and Monitor TVs this year.
