HYPRES approved as GSA vendor

ELMSFORD, USA: HYPRES Inc., the Digital Superconductor Company and developer of the Digital-RF product line, is approved to offer its Primary Voltage Standard Chip Arrays through the US General Services Administration (GSA). The arrays provide National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)-approved voltage calibration for national laboratories, standards organizations and universities, and calibration of secondary voltage standard systems worldwide.

HYPRES offers its 1-volt and 10-volt versions of the Primary Voltage Standard Chip Arrays on GSA Schedule 66—Scientific Equipment and Services. Both products can be viewed and ordered on GSA Advantage!.

The GSA provides centralized procurement for the federal government and offers products, services, and facilities that federal agencies need to serve the public, connecting them with more than 11 million commercial firms and discounted pricing opportunities.

“Having our products available via GSA is an exciting accomplishment for HYPRES. We look to expand our GSA products and services in the coming months,” said Richard Hitt, CEO and president of HYPRES. “The process to become a GSA vendor is comprehensive and well worth the effort. We’re looking forward to new opportunities.”

HYPRES is recognized as the premier commercial foundry for high performance digital superconductor integrated circuits. The company offers design, development, fabrication, testing, and packaging in a commercial production environment. HYPRES recently completed a $2 million foundry upgrade that paves the way for increased functionality and speed of its niobium-based ICs, opening the door to new market opportunities.

In addition to metrology, the company is also commercializing products for mobile networks, medical imaging, and advanced computing.

HYPRES Primary Voltage Standard Chip Arrays were developed in collaboration with NIST and are based on the company’s superconducting Josephson junction circuits — the ultimate accuracy for realizing and maintaining voltage standards.

Prior to customer delivery, each array is thoroughly tested and characterized in an automated state-of-the-art system. HYPRES is the only commercial manufacturer of the superconducting integrated circuit used for Primary Voltage Standard Systems. The chips can be found in national laboratories around the world including Italy, France, United Kingdom, Australia, China, Malaysia, Japan, England, Canada, Norway, United States, Netherlands and Mexico.
