Google I/O 2011, SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd is providing 5,500 GALAXY Tab 10.1 devices to developers attending the Google I/O (Innovation in the Open) conference at the Moscone Center, San Francisco, USA.
The 4th Google I/O is the world’s largest conference for mobile and web developers with over 5,000 participants from around the world. Samsung is providing attendees with a special edition GALAXY Tab 10.1 engraved with the Android emblem, with which developers can create new and exciting applications for Honeycomb, the latest version of the Android operating system.
“Samsung has proven its leadership in the Android tablet market with its range of GALAXY Tab devices featuring cutting-edge technology and powerful performance. We look to the developer community to create compelling and desirable applications that will demonstrate the advanced capabilities of the GALAXY Tab 10.1 and we hope that the gift of these devices will help that,” said Wonpyo Hong, executive VP of Product Strategy at Samsung Electronics.
The GALAXY Tab 10.1 is the latest product in Samsung’s expanding portfolio of tablet devices. Featuring a 10.1 inch screen, Dual Core processor and measuring just 8.6 mm, the GALAXY Tab 10.1 combines outstanding multimedia capabilities with the portability and performance you would expect of a Samsung tablet.
