TOKYO, JAPAN: Mitsubishi Electric Corp. announced that its Koriyama Factory, located in Koriyama, Fukushima Prefecture, will resume partial operations from May 10, 2011 in buildings that have been judged safe. Mitsubishi Electric's Koriyama Factory manufactures CCTVs and communications equipment.
The factory had sustained damage to its buildings as a result of the Great East Japan Earthquake which struck on March 11, 2011, and the company had temporarily ceased production at this factory until operational safety could be confirmed.
Mitsubishi Electric expresses its deepest sympathies for those affected by the disaster and sincerely hopes for a quick recovery.
