Somfy to intro ZigBee compatible technology and home automation apps

2012 International CES, DAYTON, USA: Somfy Systems,Inc., the world’s largest manufacturer of motors for interior and exterior window coverings, will participate in the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow, from January 10-13 in Las Vegas.

Somfy will introduce several products and technologies that make comprehensive home automation more intuitive, accessible and compatible across multiple platforms at CES.

TaHomA, Somfy’s total home automation system, enables users to control Somfy-powered motorized window coverings along with lights and thermostats. Somfy will showcase new remote monitoring capabilities along with TaHomA iPad and iPhone and iPod Touch apps which will be available for download early 2012.

ZigBee Digital Motor Interface integrates Somfy's line of digital motors into third party ZigBee home automation systems. Somfy’s intelligent digital motor technology provides two-way communication and real-time motor position status updates, giving users precise control over their motorized window coverings through their automation systems.

The Glydea ZigBee Plug-In Module provides embedded ZigBee control of Somfy’s line of Glydea drapery motors for integration with third party automation systems. The module offers total drapery control via ZigBee, including open, close, stop, and the “My” Position – Somfy’s customizable intermediate position anywhere between fully open and fully closed.

Glydea Z-Wave Plug-In Module provides embedded Z-Wave control of Somfy-powered motorized draperies for third party automation systems as well TaHomA. The module offers automation systems total control of Somfy motorized draperies via Z-Wave including open, close, stop, and the “My” Position – Somfy’s customizable intermediate position anywhere between fully open and fully closed.
