Annual NRF Conference & Expo, BALTIMORE, USA: Barcoding Inc., a leader in enterprise-wide mobility solutions, will be exhibiting at the NRF 101st Annual Convention & Expo in the Motorola Solutions booth (#1702).
Barcoding will demonstrate its dressing room technology, Fitting Room Assistant Network (FRAN), on Motorola Solutions’ new ET1 Enterprise Tablet, showing how the solution can improve retailers’ efficiency and increase sales. The NRF (National Retail Federation) Convention will be held Jan. 15-18, 2012, at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York.
Engineered by Barcoding, FRAN allows retailers to maximize revenue from the fitting room experience and to achieve increased control over inventory flow as it moves from the rack to the fitting room. FRAN consists of a customer kiosk mounted in the fitting room, a “manager” application on a sales associate’s handheld computer, a control center with bar code scanner, and a reporting center to help retailers maximize the potential of their fitting rooms.
After scanning their garments’ SKU at the entrance to the fitting room, customers can use the ET1 tablet as an interactive kiosk. Based on the information collected from the SKU, FRAN can suggest additional items to purchase (in different sizes or colors) and send for a salesperson to bring requested items, all of which ultimately leads to a more positive shopping experience. With FRAN’s data analysis and reporting capabilities, retailers can gauge item popularity, increase up-sells, lessen returns, forestall markdowns, deter theft by tracking what is in the fitting rooms, and boost store productivity.
Motorola Solutions’ ET1 is an enterprise-class, Android-based mobile computer that combines consumer styling with real business durability. With a 7-inch capacitive screen and enough battery power to last a full shift, the ET1 offers security, flexibility, and manageability.
Jay Steinmetz, president and CEO, Barcoding, said: “By leveraging the power of advanced data capture and mobile technology with Motorola Solutions’ ET1, retailers can optimize their fitting rooms for a significant increase in revenue. As consumers continue to shift more and more to online shopping, FRAN can help retail stores maintain their profitability with new insight into what their customers are purchasing, while still giving customers a pleasant shopping experience. Barcoding and Motorola Solutions encourage clothing retailers attending NRF to stop by our booth and see, first-hand, how this technology can be an asset to their business.”
