Rosetta Technologies surpasses one billion IRDs printed

TAMPA, USA: Rosetta Technologies, a leading provider of MICR printers and check and Image Replacement Document (IRD) software solutions, announced that customers using Rosetta’s IRDPrint software and MICR printers had collectively printed more than one billion IRDs. This threshold was crossed last month, according to meter readings collected from deployed systems.

Rosetta’s IRD solutions combine the company’s MICR IRD printers and IRDPrint software. They are highly scalable and used by institutions and processors to print from just a few IRDs a day to tens of millions per month. Rosetta’s IRD printers range from 30-135 ppm and all work seamlessly with IRDPrint software including threaded processing that allows the printers to run at their rated speeds.

Since first released in 2004, Rosetta’s IRDPrint software family has evolved to meet customers’ changing requirements, including printing IRDs for statement insertion, adding post processing optical marks, a view and reprint feature and a powerful system manager.

Earlier this year, Rosetta began delivering IRD solutions for smaller institutions including the PDF Print Pack for banks and credit unions receiving return IRDs from the Federal Reserve Bank as PDF files, and IRDPrint OnSight for institutions receiving electronic cash letter returns from the Fed or other processors.

“At the onset of Check 21, Rosetta Technologies recognized that IRD printing would be an essential process for institutions and item processors adapting to this dramatic change in the industry. Our IRD printing solutions fit a very important need at a time when much was still unknown about the full impact of Check 21.” said Rob Hullar, president, Rosetta Technologies.

“Today, our IRD printing solutions are still satisfying the market as check processing strategies continue to evolve.”
