CoreFlow closes large FPD deal in Japanese market

YOQNEAM, ISRAEL: CoreFlow Ltd, a leading provider of flotation solutions for precision manufacturing environments, announced that it is delivering more than 10 aeromechanical pressure-vacuum systems in Q4 2009.

This order of approximately $1.5 million is the largest ever received at CoreFlow for the Japanese market. The coating systems of the Japanese LCD equipment manufacturer will be delivered to a major LCD manufacturer in Asia-Pacific and used for photo resist coating of color filter glass on large substrates.

CoreFlow's air-cushion solutions are accuracy enablers. Important in the area of the process, the air-cushion creates high stiffness and substrate flatness, thus enabling accurate positioning in the vertical plane.

CoreFlow's solutions deliver the highest accuracy compared with competitive technologies that suit the growing substrate sizes, with proven solutions up to and including G10 glass sizes. The significantly smaller footprint saves precious clean room space and decreases operating costs. The free X-Y substrate movement lowers total average cycle time, resulting in higher throughput.

CoreFlow has recruited Harushige Narukawa in Japan to lead the growing business activities in Japan. He brings significant experience in the FPD industry from previous positions he held in Photon Dynamics and Zygo for close to 15 years.

Eyal Spielberg, CEO at CoreFlow, states: "This large-scale sale in Japan positions CoreFlow at the forefront of flotation solution manufacturers in Asia-Pacific, and Narukawa is an important addition for our growing business. Expanding our installed base is comforting news, however, this brings with it challenges such as maintaining good customer satisfaction. We believe that enlarging our team in Japan will address this need."
