USA & GERMANY: Metaio, the world leader in augmented reality (AR) software and solutions, announced its 50,000 developer benchmark, in time for updates to the Metaio SDK and Metaio Creator and the beginning of the first-ever Metaio International Developer Contests.
Since releasing the Metaio SDK less than two years ago to the development community, Metaio is proud to have 50,000 developers working on its platform, with more than 1000 applications across enterprise, industrial, publishing and retail published. To commemorate this remarkable milestone, Metaio will today release a new “AR” standard logo to the community and encourage developers to join in the first-ever Metaio International Developer Contests.
Both the Metaio SDK and Metaio Creator have been updated to support better and more efficient content management, application creation and game development, coinciding perfectly with the Developer Contests, which feature categories for content creation and app and game development.
Grand Prize winners will receive professional software licenses and will be flown to Munich to present their winning entries at InsideAR 2013 among thought leaders and luminaries of the AR industry.
