TAIWAN: The Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute has released a new research report titled Current Development of the Consumer Telematics Market and Industry in China.
Consumer telematics is currently the mainstream development trend worldwide, featuring major development issues such as OBU (On Board Unit), TSP (Telematics Service Provider) services, and network access.
In the major consumer telematics markets of the world, such as Europe, North America, and Japan, development of the consumer telematics market has been in sync with the local automotive market, and related services and market mechanism are well-rounded, too.
The automotive market has been booming in China, but its consumer telematics market is still in the budding stage. Although the Chinese OBU market volume is projected to score a CAGR of 65 percent for the period 2008 - 2012, significantly higher than the global average of 54 percent, the market scale is still limited.
