LogMeIn and UMID bring remote access to ultra mobile computers

WOBURN, USA: LogMeIn and UMID, an ultra-mobile PC manufacturer, are bringing the power of the desktop to mobile internet devices (MID). UMID will make LogMeIn products available to customers of its new mbook, allowing users to access their PC or Mac, including all of the applications and data on them, directly from their UMID device using a standard internet connection.

The new UMID mbook will come pre-loaded with LogMeIn Ignition, available for purchase in a discounted bundle with LogMeIn Pro2. Ignition plus Pro2 provides one-click remote access to all of a user's remote computers from virtually anywhere with an Internet connection, as well as the ability to quickly and easily transfer or synch files and folders between their primary computers and the UMID device.

The new UMID mbook will launch in Korea in January 2010. Distribution and marketing plans for outside of Korea, including the US market, are still being finalized.

The new UMID mbook with LogMeIn Ignition pre-loaded will be on display at the Intel MID Bar during CES 2010 in Las Vegas.
