NTEROP 2010 to commence from Sept. 28 in Mumbai

BANGALORE, INDIA: The Indian IT industry has played a key role in putting India on the global map. Despite the slowdown, worldwide IT spending is set to surpass $2.4 trillion across all the industry segments. With emerging technologies and newer innovations, there is immense growth potential in the domestic technology market.

INTEROP, the leading business technology event with the most comprehensive IT conference and Expo is going to kick start in Mumbai on 28th September 2010 at the Bombay Exhibition Center for three days. The key highlights of the event are 62 technical sessions, 70 prominent speakers, three interactive workshops, more than 75 exhibitors and an anticipated audience of 3500.

Kailash Shirodkar, Director and Publisher, UBM India, says: “The Indian domestic market for IT hardware and software has grown leaps and bounds and is tipped to grow at 8.5 percent to reach INR 1,088 billion in FY2010. With India Inc upping its IT initiatives and a slew of e-governance projects announced by the government, the IT companies – Global MNC’s and Indian Software and hardware vendors - are focused on this opportunity.

“At INTEROP, we offer a platform to companies, keenly interested in tapping the growing domestic market to address the entire gamut of IT professionals from enterprise and Channel who are in the forefront of IT deployment within the country. The success of INTEROP 2009 last year has further vindicated our firm belief that the Indian market is ready for such global events to be staged in India.”

The event would feature some of the most trusted brands in the technology space, which includes AVAYA, CISCO, BROCADE, LG Business Solutions, EMC, JUNIPER HP, AIRCEL Business Solutions, DELL, NCOMPUTING, EXTREME NETWORKS, WIPRO etc that would provide a comprehensive thought leadership in critical areas.

“As a leader in real time business communication, Avaya looks at INTEROP as a great opportunity to showcase its next-generation solutions, designed to help businesses more effectively manage customer experiences in today’s competitive world”, said Mr. Jangoo Dalal, MD, Avaya India. “We look forward to sharing a range of collaboration solutions with visitors to the show that will help simplify operations, reduce costs and put the user at the centre of the communication process”, he added.

As per Amit Sinha Roy, VP, Marketing Cisco India: “As a global technology leader, Cisco has a longstanding and global relationship with INTEROP. Cisco sees INTEROP as a leading platform that focuses on the business of technology and role of technology in business. In India, we saw great success with our association with INTEROP, Mumbai last year and are pleased to be partnering with them again. Apart from some very interesting track sessions by Cisco speakers, we would also be showcasing some exciting demos in our solutions showcase.”

"INTEROP Mumbai is a great platform to showcase the wide range of technologies and innovations that characterize the world of Networks. At Brocade, we are using this forum to introduce our new solutions that squarely address today’s customer needs to revamp a network that was not purpose built to address today’s application environments and data payloads. Our solutions will enable the customer to protect their past investment while providing them with greater simplicity of management, reliability, uptime and application optimization.” said Deb Dutta, Vice President, Brocade Asia Pacific.

The exposition promises to bring together thousands of Business Managers, IT Professionals, and Channel Professionals to give the most comprehensive view of the tools and technologies that are part of a solid information technology strategy.

Information Technology, more than any other industry or economic facet, has an increased productivity, particularly in a country like India. Economies of scale and insatiable demand from both consumers and enterprises characterize this rapidly growing sector.
