MUMBAI, INDIA: ESET, a leader in proactive protection against cyber-threats, has announced the launch of ESET NOD32 Antivirus, a single user retail pack of its flagship product in India.
The latest 5th version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus offers various improved features including ESET Live Grid (former ThreatSense.Net), cloud-based reputation and protection technology and New Removable Media Control. The New Removable Media Control secures users from viruses and malware that spread though removable media. This tool automatically prompts the user to scan the content of all flash drives (USB, SD), firewire, CDs and DVDs, so that specific threats can be blocked from trying to get into the system through the media devices.

User can define rules for system registry, processes, applications and files. The tool can be used to block unauthorized changes to programs. The Gamer Mode feature in the pack allows the user to switch to silent mode and disables pop ups to conserve system resources and enhance the gaming experience. Overall the ESET NOD32 Antivirus is effective on the system, has low footprint and protects the system both online and off-line.
Extending its retail product line with ESET NOD32 Antivirus single user pack, ESET is aiming to increase its penetration in the Indian market. The ESET NOD32 is priced at Rs. 599 MRP and is offered in a bundle with free six months Eset Mobile Security License for Android, Symbian and Windows Mobile smartphones.
