USA: QLogic announced that the company led the Fibre Channel adapter market for the ninth consecutive year, according to new data from the Dell'Oro Group Q4 2012 SAN Report and the Crehan Research Q4 2012 Quarterly Market Share Report.
QLogic held a total revenue share of 53.4 percent according to Dell'Oro Group and 52 percent share according to Crehan Research. Both firms showed QLogic held a lead of more than 11.4 percentage points over its nearest rival.
"These latest Fibre Channel adapter market share reports confirm that customers continue to demand the QLogic brand for their storage networks," said Amit Vashi, VP of marketing, Host Solutions Group, QLogic.
"Several tier-1 OEMs have been shipping our 16Gb Fibre Channel FlexSuite adapters since 2012 and we expect to strengthen our position as the clear leader in Fibre Channel adapters in 2013. Our 16Gb adapter hardware can also support 10Gb Ethernet and provide unparalleled performance and flexibility for virtualized data centers."
