USA: The HDBaseT Alliance announced that Belkin has joined the Alliance, enabling Belkin to integrate HDBaseT technology into its lines of audio/video products for commercial and consumer applications. Belkin has also announced its new HDBaseT HDMI audio/video extender solution for high performance AV connectivity over Cat5e long distance applications.
The HDBaseT technology enables the delivery of uncompressed high definition video, audio, Internet, controls and power over a single cat5e/6 cable up to 100 meters, eliminating the common issues professional installers face concerning cable distance and location of available power outlets.

The Belkin HDBaseT provides installers with a point-to-point solution that ensures interoperability when working with components from multiple AV brands. It eliminates the requirement for setting up a complex network of runner cables, pigtails, breakouts or color-coded wall plates by deploying a universal protocol for heterogeneous AV environments. It also supports custom long-run capability with PVC, Plenum and Riser.
The new Belkin HDBaseT is available now through Belkin’s worldwide network of distributors and value added resellers.
